Every two years, the prestigious international art biennial is organized in Venice, and its 56th edition kicked off the 9th of May 2015. Drawing almost half a million visitors in 2013, this is clearly a trendsetting event and an excellent venue for artists to present their work to the world.
Lisette Huizing was invited to present her work during the Venice Biennale 2015 in the Palazzo Bembo, a venua affiliated with the Biennial where Lisette will have a podium where the works of artists such as Arnulf Rainer, Carl André, Otto Piene and Yoko Ono have been exhibited.
Lisette's work revolves around the evolution of the art of painting. She is fascinated by the innovations and possibilities that digitalization presents to modern day artists. For this exhibit, she designed an installation inspired by the work of Piet Mondriaan which she brings to life in a virtual world which visitors will be able to experience.
Triple A Projects supported Lisette Huizenga in this undertaking to ensure that she could exploit this oppertunity to the maximum. We are happy to report that through crowdfunding we have raised the amount of 21.480 euro's to finance her travel and rental costs, as well as to realize and execute the work to be exhibited.
We thank everyone who has contributed to this project and are confident that this has been a big step towards a breakthrough on the international art scene.
